  • SEED FAIR TRADE SHOP

    • This is a CSR Project. It is based on the own idea of our trust. At present, this project is sanctioned only for 2 blocks of Theni district. In some cases, farmers will have disappointing yields because of the usage of non-certified seeds or less quality seeds. Majority of the people opt for inorganic seeds rather than organic seeds because of higher yield and less cost. Therefore our organization sells the seeds at 25% discount rate only for some targeted groups like economically backward classes, women headed families, etc. This project focuses on selling quality seeds and in cases where people use inorganic seeds, we make sure that the level of chemical contents is very less. We provide awareness and educate them about new varieties of seeds. Workshops on usage of fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides are also conducted.

  • TRACTOR PROVISION PROJECT

    • Tractors offer a number of benefits on small farms, as well as working on the lawn and garden. It is used for plowing, tilling and landing fields in addition to regular lawn care, landscape maintenance, transfer or spreading fertilizers and shrub clean-up. In general, usage of a tractor for one hour in 1 or 2 acres of land costs Rs.1500. The price will vary according to the equipments used like backhoes, dozers, motor graders, skid steers etc. But the farmers do not find any profit because they have to spend a lot of money for tractors. In such cases, this project is useful. Tractors are provided to the farmers without any rent. They are supposed to spend only for the fuel.

  • POND RESTORATION PROJECT

    • This project focuses on the restoration of ponds in all the 8 blocks. It monitors, senses and removes contaminants from the ponds.

  • Banana fiber saree & dhoti making training program.
  • Promoting rural products through rural marts.
  • Farmers Producer Company - integrating and promoting dairy products, banana by-products without middle man support.
  • Entrepreneurship development program for women.
  • Weavers welfare program
  • Promoting Self Help Groups/ Joint Liability Groups and credit linkaging program through nationalised banks.

Upcoming events & workshop

A workshop on counseling for teachers of both government and private schools in all the 8 blocks is going to be held on February 2019. One teacher from each school can participate in the training. The intent of this workshop is not to equip teachers with the background or the skills to act as the school counselor or psychologist but to make everyone aware that in India only a limited number of schools have counselors. The knowledge of counseling skills is essential for teachers to promote student learning and well-being

A one-month training program in January 2021 for the weavers of Theni district about creating sarees in banana fibre.

Livelihood entrepreneurship development programme in collaboration with NABARD. It's a one year training program where a total of 100 women are taught about making mattresses, silk cotton and pillows.

Theni kamadhenu farmer producer company through which market support is provided for G main banana farmers and diary entrepreneurs. The programme will go on till 2022.

Renovation of an old-age home named Thai illam in Kadamalaikundu, Theni district.

Work is in progress to start a Cow feed manufacturing unit in order to support farmers with business opportunities.
